Ballroom dancing is a partnership dance however, you do not need a partner to learn how. Ballroom dancing consists of two main categories: Smooth or Standard and Rhythm or Latin. There are many dance genres that fall under this umbrella of the two main categories. Each having their own musicality, style, characteristic of the dance and specific technique involved. These dances are enjoyed both socially and competitively worldwide. Ballroom dancing is also popular on stage, commercials, and in television shows and / or movies.

Ballroom dancing is not just for the sport of it or for social dancing it is also worldwide known for it's benefits in assisting patients with recovery from surgery. When a doctor has signed off stating the patient has finished with their physical therapy Ballroom dancing can then help continue on with their road to a full recovery. Ballroom dancing helps with muscle, ligament, and tendon strength along with increased reflex responses as well as better balance and coordination.

Our dance instructors can easily adapt to your existing experience level, or lack thereof, to bring your experience in Ballroom to all new heights! Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or at an advanced level, we have a vast amount of experience to improve your form and ability when it comes to the Ballroom dancing!

Learning to dance does not require a partner. At TW Dance we have a specific way of delivering the information as well as ensuring that you fully understand your own steps first before dancing with a partner. Commonly, rushing into dancing with a partner can create bad habits that are hard to break or overcome. Especially when it comes to learning more advanced levels of dancing such as technique within your own body.

Yes we do separate kid classes from adult classes. Typically the adult classes are for 18+ for Ballroom dancing!

Yes we do offer private Ballroom lessons for those who want to have one-on-one help with their steps and / or to learn at their own pace with material and technique. Private lessons are also great for learning musicality and for practicing to different tempos. With private Ballroom lessons you will learn more and progress faster ultimately, achieving your goals sooner!
